Harmonics Studies: Complete Electrical Distribution System Evaluations Controllix and our associated partners offer a unique service to industrial and utility concerns requiring extensive evaluations of electrical power distribution systems. The Controllix Power Systems Analysis provides a complete software-based study of any electrical power system and offers the following: The Fault Study analyzes an existing system to determine if equipment is rated accordingly, to handle fault currents. In-plant expansions and new equipment additions (i.e., motors, rotating machines, transformers, etc.) are representative of this type of study. The Coordination Study reviews isolation of faults. A property coordinated system allows for quick isolation with minimum system disruption. Usual equipment/devices studied include low voltage circuit breakers, fuses and relays. The Power System Analysis provides Controllix engineers with a flexible structure for database development and graphic processing. The software also provides for files describing voltages and currents within a system. Utilizing these features, large power systems can be modeled through computer simulations. Programmable parameters greatly reduce the need for costly, time consuming field tests and measurements and allow Controllix engineers to analyze extensive system configurations and solve complex power distribution problems.
